SOLD OUT Watch out for New Events: Foraging Amongst Trees and Hedgerows Sunday 9th October
As the days get cooler and the spring and summer forage start to disappear, hedgerows and trees come into their own for foraging. They are also an excellent source of leaves for drying and storing through the winter months. However not all trees and hedge shrubs are rabbit friendly, and hedges in particular can include some downright nasties! Now is the time to learn to tell your elm from your ash, hazel from hornbeam, and oak from your apple, not to mention spotting bryony from bindweed
Focussing outdoors, this day will help you identify common trees and hedge plants and understand which can be safely fed and which come with a warning.
After a brief introduction, the day will mostly be spent outdoors and is slightly shorter than our usual days to account for this.
Location: 17 Denton Village, PE7 3SD
Timings: Arrive for 10.30am. Finish c.3pm. Sunday 9th October 2022
Refreshments etc: Tea, coffee and a Vegetarian lunch will be provided.
Payment: £30 including refreshments.
We will email confirmation
