10.30-15.00/15.30 (ish) We start with a brief update on the latest events and happenings in the rabbit rescue world, before launching into a fabulous talk by Laura Dickens (RVN) (Byre Veterinary Surgery) who works alongside exotic vet Sarah Pellet, caring for exotics and rabbits during their time at the vets. Laura will discuss the care and procedures nurses provide from the moment we leave our beloved rabbits at a vets for a procedure large or small, initial pre-op tests, preparation for operations, recovery, to the joyful discharge and collection! After questions and discussion there will be a break for a buffet lunch (all vegetarian, vegan options) provided. After lunch Sarah Pellet (BSc(Hons) MA VetMB CertAVP(ZooMed) DZooMed (Reptilian) MRCVS,RCVS Recognised Specialist in Zoo and Wildlife Medicine) will talk about what’s new and what is trending in rabbit diseases and medicines including what she is seeing most coming into the practice right now, new developments in treatments, diagnostics and ear disease, followed by general discussion. Please Note: Sarah CANNOT answer questions about specific cases.
